Hello my name is Mychalla. I just turned 23 years old. Lots of you know me as Raegan’s daughter. My mom’s daycare opened 22 years ago when I was a year old in our house. To me this daycare is like a home and a big part of who I am. I have a little brother and a little sister. Josh who is 20 and is currently stationed in Ohio. Madison who is 17 and works in the 4-5-year-old room. Growing up if you ask any of us three kids most of our favorite memories are with the daycare kids. It was like a never-ending party with kids and toys for us. I remember the nights we would load all the daycare kids up and have 13+ kids going to Applebee’s for what would be our family dinner. The nights we didn’t have school we would pull out nap mats and sleep in the daycare room with the daycare kids who were there over night when it was open 24/7. Although we had to share our mom lots we wouldn’t trade it for the world because we know just how amazing she is and how lucky all these kids were and still are to look up to someone so amazing. She loves each and every one of them as her own. We also got to be with her every minute of every day. Which now has turned into me calling her 15 times a night because she’s still my best friend. She never missed a thing in our lives. No matter how busy she was we could find her in the crowd at every event. Lots of these families and employees quickly became a big part of our family and to this day are still some of our best friends. Lots of the teachers here have been around for many years. Michelle who is our cook has been here 17 years and I still look forward to her meals every single day. Quira who is in the 2-year-old has been my best friend for 8 years. Kaitlyn is in infant room 1 and is someone I have grown up with since I was in kindergarten. Ricaela who is in the 2-3-year-old room was my favorite daycare kid/best friend growing up. We are still to this day close friends and now get to work together. Sarraya who is here after school to help in any of the rooms also attended this daycare growing up as well. We all loved it so much we decided to come back as teachers to help give your kids the memories and experiences we all had as kids. Except now we get to do it in this amazing new building my mom has worked so hard for. It has been a long time in the making and after many long nights, days, tears, and excitement the last couple years we are finally ready for opening! As for outside the daycare life I am a RN student here at Great Falls College MSU. My dream one day is to be a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nurse. I love babies and want nothing more than to be able to help the babies who need a little extra love. For now, I get to give all your babies that and help them reach each new milestone. I absolutely cannot wait! I have worked as a lead teacher in the infant room since March up until I went on maternity leave. Before this I went to school in Missoula and worked in the NICU and Pediatrics as a CNA at Community Medical Center. When I moved back home I worked for the Great Falls Clinic in Family Practice and The Lodge which is an assisted living center. I started working at the daycare when I found out I was pregnant because just like my mom I also wanted to be able to be with my baby every minute of every day. September 1st of 2018 I had my little boy Beckett who is now 4 months old. He cannot wait to play with are your sweet babies every day. Welcome to Play ‘N’ Learn Academy and Infant room 2 with Ariel and I.
